💡 Word to the Wise: Recognising Your Strengths This week, pupils will reflect on their individual strengths and consider how these can help them make informed choices about their future. They will learn that valuable skills are developed not only through paid employment, but also through lessons, hobbies, caring responsibilities, volunteering and everyday experiences. Pupils will be encouraged to identify one of their strengths and give a real example that demonstrates it. This supports our Personal Development provision by developing self-awareness, confidence and employability skills. 💼 Job of the Week: Writer This week, pupils will learn more about the varied role of a writer and how writers create books, scripts, poems, blogs, articles, reviews and guides for different audiences and purposes. They will explore the different pathways into this career, including studying English, journalism, media or creative writing, as well as developing experience through blogging, competitions and writing groups. Pupils will also consider the skills needed to succeed, including creativity, communication, initiative, persistence and strong digital skills.
