Edgar Wood welcomes the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra
Students at our academy - together with year 6 students from Bowlee Primary School - were been treated to an unforgettable musical experience as they welcomed the world-renowned BBC Philharmonic Orchestra to the Academy. The atmosphere was nothing short of electric, with both staff and students describing the visit as inspiring, uplifting and truly memorable.
Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Willow, a year 6 pupil, shared her enthusiasm: “This morning was so much fun!”. Her classmate Abeeha echoed the sentiment, saying she “really enjoyed the experience”. Meanwhile, Ore, also in year 6, summed up the impact of the visit perfectly: “I wish we could attend this every day.”.
Staff also praised the event, highlighting how valuable it is for young people to see and hear professional musicians at work, and how experiences like these help broaden students’ horizons.
The Academy extends its sincere thanks to the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra for delivering such an enriching and inspiring day — one that many of our students will remember for years to come.
