✨ Virtual Employer Spotlight: Notorious ✨ This week, our students were excited to take part in a Teams call with Notorious, a media marketing agency based in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. The team introduced students to what a media agency does – planning who needs to see adverts and how to reach the right audience. They also shared what it’s like to work in a fast-paced, creative industry and the wide variety of roles within their team, from Media Assistants to Performance Managers. Students learned about: • The different careers available within media and marketing • How campaigns are created for well-known clients such as Chester Zoo, Crown Paints and Butcher’s • Real career journeys, including how college and early career routes can lead into the industry • The importance of creativity, teamwork and originality in building a successful career We are grateful to the Notorious team for inspiring our students and showing how exciting and varied careers in media and marketing can be. #CareersEducation #Notorious #MediaCareers #GatsbyBenchmarks #FutureReady #CreativeCareers

We are delighted to announce the launch of Fortnite Friday, which will start on Monday 26th January. Students need 100% attendance over the fortnight and must not break the 10-day streak. On the last Friday of the fortnight all eligible students will be put into a draw and be given gaming gift cards if their name comes out. For our non-gamers, the option of a Love2Shop voucher will be offered. We then reset on the following Monday and we go again! This comes as a direct result of student voice, who requested shorter term challenges and more vouchers!

Yesterday our year 11 GCSE photography students on a trip to Manchester City Centre . They were amazing, a credit to the school. Yes the purpose of the trip was to take photos for their GCSE photography exam however it ended up being much more than that. At least 3 of the students had never been to Manchester before - this really shocked me as we just presume everyone has been to town, it was so nice for them to share that with me and experience our wonderful city with them.
