A group of GCSE History pupils attended an A-Level masterclass at Rochdale Sixth Form College yesterday.

A massive thankyou to Mr Done and Mr Williamson at RSFC for the fantastic session and tour. Their feedback was that our pupils were 'fantastic'!

As always, we are really proud of the way they conducted themselves throughout. Well done! Mrs Gaughan-Pollard

✨Our first Virtual Employer Spotlight ✨

Last week, our students had the fantastic opportunity to hear from Jess from Bruntwood, a leading organisation that creates and manages outstanding workspaces, innovation hubs and science facilities across the region.

Jess shared her personal career journey, insights into the property and innovation industries, and the wide range of roles that exist within Bruntwood’s work - from town-centre office and retail spaces to cutting-edge lab environments that support science and technology businesses.

Her talk helped our students:
- Understand the breadth of careers available in the world of workspace, innovation and science facilities
- Gain firsthand insights from a successful professional
- Hear a real-life example of a career path, including the skills, challenges and opportunities along the way

We are grateful to Jess and Bruntwood for supporting our mission of building confidence and raising aspirations across our community.

This week, our Year 7–10 students were delighted to welcome Jane from Hopwood Hall College, who delivered an inspiring talk about further education, vocational pathways and the exciting opportunities available post-16.

Our Year 10 students should now be organising their work experience placements. The deadline to have placements confirmed is Thursday 13th February, but places can fill up quickly, so earlier is definitely better!

If students need any help, they can pop in to see:
• Jane Livesey (Careers Manager)
• Their Form Tutor
• Miss Cole or Miss Crawford

Need another copy of the employer letter? Form Tutors can provide one.

Thank you for supporting our students as they take this exciting step toward their future careers! ✨
