This morning, we were privileged to welcome Soul Sisters into Class 9EPS1 as part of our charity meeting for the First Give programme.

During the session, pupils gained a deeper understanding of the different forms of abuse and learned how important it is to speak openly, safely and without judgement. The discussion helped break down common stereotypes surrounding domestic abuse survivors, reinforcing the message that abuse can affect anyone and that support should always be compassionate and inclusive. Soul Sisters also shared how they provide vital help and guidance to those who need it most. Pupils came away feeling more informed, confident and aware of how they can challenge stigma and stand up for others.

A huge thank you to Asma at Soul Sisters for such an impactful and inspiring session. A special thank you to our very own Miss Davis, who volunteers for the charity and continues to make a positive difference both in and beyond our school community. 💚

📣Updates from EWA📣

Some of our Year 9 and 10 students have had the fantastic opportunity to take part in the Sanctuary Scholars programme. The programme has allowed them to explore what it means to be part of Manchester. Students are preparing their final projects ready for their graduation next month.

Before half term, we took a group of Year 10 girls to a fantastic Women in Stem event hosted by Arc Mindset. Students got to take part in a number of workshops all about different careers in STEM as well as talking to some wonderful companies about all things science, tech, engineering maths!
