💼 Job of the Week: Member of Parliament (MP)

This week, pupils will learn more about the role of an MP and how they represent the concerns and interests of people within their constituency in the House of Commons.

They will also consider the different routes into politics and the skills needed for the role, including communication, public speaking, leadership, teamwork and listening to others.

This links to our focus on democracy and active citizenship by encouraging pupils to think about how elected representatives can raise concerns, influence decisions and create positive change.
